Final Project topic: Grammar for beginners, kids from seven to twelve

Previewing:
The purpose of this video is to teach and enhance the students’ ability when they are using prepositions 
Activity (or activities): Define in Spanish what a preposition is. This is to check if the student has any knowledge about the preposition.  Then, using some examples in Spanish the students can be motivated and excited about how to use a preposition in English.  After that, they will have to watch the video and pay close attention to all the prepositions through the examples that the video shows, so they will be able to develop the next activity
Time:  5 min

While-viewing:

They can watch the video 2 more times in order to complete the exercise
Activity (or activities): Complete this multiple choice exercise based on the preposition that you learned. In order to do that the students have to go to this site:

Get in group of 4 people to do the post viewing part of the activity which is the talent show
Time: 20 min

Post-viewing:
Talent show
Activity (or activities): Students have to write a song in which they use some examples of prepositions just as the video shows. It has to have at least 10 stanzas. The most creative group gets extra points. This show will take 20 min, and 5 more minutes for preparation. An example will be given at the beginning of  the class.
Time:  25 min

The Process
Follow the simple steps outlined below.  Please take your time, read carefully, and work on one step at a time.  Work in groups of 4 people. 
Assignment
§     Click on the links, nounpronoun, and linking verb, read the definitions for nouns, pronouns, & linking verbs and write the definitions for each one
§     Read each definition and write down each one on your paper.  Links are adjectives and adverbs
§     Next, we move to conjunctionsprepositions and interjections.              
§     Take the “Quiz on Prepositions” quiz
§     Complete a quick review of all parts of speech before taking the final quiz. 


Evaluation
Once all the tasks are completed and turned in, you will be scored.  Your group grade will be based on effort and completion of all tasks.
